Another Dimension of Redemption

I’m looking forward to a forum on voting rights for felons. I live in Texas where you can’t vote on parole. I was previously in South Dakota where parolees were encouraged to vote. I am presently on parole until 2035 on a nonviolent charge meaning my right to vote is gone for life. Politicians don’t seem to recognize how well-informed we become while locked up or how conscious we are of the issues of the times. Is there any way to get the right restored to Texas parolees?
I just took a look and it say you must complete your sentence including prison, parole and probation. So for now you can’t vote but what you can do is find the men and women in your area that have completed their sentences and get them educated about their voting rights. The majority of ex-felons believe the have been permanently disenfranchised.
Washington just got about 20,000 new voters behind bars and on parole.
Texas will not give that away easy.
California, like Texas, asked that you first complete your sentence before you can vote.
